The Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor seeks to foster collaborative research activities along the Chicago Avenue. History has shown that research goals are achieved faster if institutions break down barriers and foster opportunities for innovative researchers and physicians to work together. To promote the advancement of human health, the Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor will create opportunities for
- Information Sharing: While each of the institutions often engage in their own specific research activities, individuals interested in collaboration often have a difficult time identifying other like minded individuals. The Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor will sponsor various activities from directories that list research achievements occurring along Chicago Avenue to an annual conference to highlight new companies or new collaborations.
- Sponsored Research Activities: Whether industry, government, or foundation grants, the Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor seeks to identify and obtain monies to further the advancement of health. Whether through encouraging companies to develop products for children; focusing efforts on developing better methods for delivering care to new immigrants; or building partnerships among the community to broaden understanding of key health issues, the Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor offers a unique opportunity for organizations interested in funding collaborative research for specialized populations.
- Collaborative Research: As connections grow between the various organizations, there will be opportunities to work together on various projects of mutual interest to each institution along the Corridor. The Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor will work with each institution to identify those research areas where by working together there is an opportunity to make a unique impact that could not be achieved without collaboration. The Minneapolis Lifesciences Corridor will also identify those barriers to collaboration and work to create solutions to ensure that health, above all else, is the goal.
